EMMA DOYLE

“I'm just an ordinary girl who has done exceptional things by taking action, addressing injustices, and speaking my truth.”

Meet Coach Em, an Energy Coach and Activation Speaker with a passion for empowering teams and individuals to unlock their potential and maximise performance. With over 30 years of coaching experience, she has dedicated her career to fostering resilience, curiosity, and excellence in both the sports and corporate worlds.

DISMANTLING BIAS

“Systemic barriers like gender bias, lack of representation in leadership roles, and unequal access to resources hinder diversity and inclusion in sports. To dismantle these barriers, we need to advocate for equitable policies, provide mentorship opportunities, and create inclusive environments that celebrate diverse perspectives.”

CHALLENGING STEREOTYPES & MAKING AN IMPACT

“Storytelling and media representation are crucial in promoting diversity and inclusion by highlighting diverse role models and challenging stereotypes. Ensuring more authentic and diverse narratives requires amplifying voices from underrepresented groups and promoting stories that reflect the true diversity within the sports community. This is one of the reasons that I host The Coaching Podcast.

In my Girl Power Camps, the diversity of participants and coaches created a rich learning environment where different perspectives and experiences were shared. This not only enhanced the skills and confidence of the girls involved but also fostered a deeper sense of community and mutual respect.”

AN IMPACTFUL MOMENT

“One of the most impactful moments in my journey was representing Australia as a tennis coach on 20 occasions. This experience not only honed my coaching skills but also deepened my appreciation for the power of sport in uniting people across cultures. The camaraderie, shared goals, and collective spirit I witnessed have profoundly influenced my approach to coaching and my belief in the transformative potential of sports.”

SEEKING GUIDANCE

“I encourage young women to seek guidance from mentors and coaches who can provide invaluable insights and accelerate their learning. Embrace a curious mindset, continuously invest in your education, and practice active listening to truly understand and connect with others. Remember to take action on your ideas and don't let the pursuit of perfection hinder your progress. Entrepreneurship offers the opportunity for financial independence and the freedom to make choices aligned with your values.”

“Judy Murray (OBE) has been a significant champion of my tennis speaking journey, supporting me and writing the foreword for my book, "What Makes a Great Coach?" We both believe in the power of letting the activity do the teaching for you (less is more). Additionally, Natalie Ashdown has been instrumental in teaching me how to unlock potential to maximiSe performance by asking curious questions, helping bring my book to life and advocating for the "Leader as Coach" as the way of the NOW.”
