ANA JELUSIC, OLY
“Across all industries, but in sports in particular, women have proven that there are no limits to what they can accomplish.”
Meet Ana Jelusic Black OLY, three-time Olympian in Alpine skiing (2002, 2006, 2010) who went on to work in Media Operations at the International Ski Federation, present a TV show for Eurosport, and work in Athlete Relations at the IOC. She has converted her pursuit of excellence in sports into a unique expertise at the intersection of communication, marketing, athletes, and international events.
“It's much harder to "be it" if you don't "see it.”
I hope for a day when it's not surprising to see a woman leading a major sports team or organisation. The idea of 'having it all', at the same time, is not only unrealistic, but it sets impossible standards that often leave women feeling inadequate. We need to shift this narrative by encouraging the sharing of non-professional responsibilities and acknowledging the support system behind those who appear to have it all.”
A CHERISED SPORTING MEMORY
“Undoubtedly, my first World Cup podium was a moment where all my hard work felt truly validated. It didn't feel like I achieved it "like a girl.” It earned me credibility and respect on par with male athletes in my country. It undoubtedly paved the way for a new generation of girls who followed in my footsteps.”
