🇩🇪 Meet Game Mothibi, whose journey has taken her from Botswana to Frankfurt, Germany, where she pursues her passion in sports administration. She is the proud mother of her energetic and curious 11-year-old, Abale. Guided by the resilience of her late mother, Reverend Malebogo, she is now the Senior Manager at TAFISA - The Association For International Sport for All, Co-Founder of the Women Sport Africa Network-WSAN, and a Global Executive Board Member - Africa Rep at IWG Women & Sport.

TRADITIONAL METHODS OF STORYTELLING

"Storytelling and representation in media amplify underrepresented voices, challenge stereotypes, and inspire participation regardless of background. However, many women working for NGOs and Sport for Development organisations in rural areas lack access to digital platforms to share their impactful stories, despite their heroic efforts in challenging environments. Using traditional methods of storytelling and collaboration between media organisations, sports entities, and communities are crucial for identifying untold stories and creating a more inclusive sports media landscape."

A PASSION FOR GENDER ADVOCACY

"My mother's journey to become a Pastor, despite facing scrutiny and challenges due to her gender and being a single mother, sparked my curiosity and activism at a young age. Inspired by her resilience and encouragement to use my voice, this experience ignited my passion for gender advocacy in sports. It shaped my journey to study and gain experience in the field and become a mentor to encourage more girls and women to have a voice. I’m also instilling this in my 11 year old daughter Abale who is already a powerhouse of energy and curiosity."
